Safety Technician

Safety Technician for industrial site in Augusta. Provide field safety support for industrial construction activities. Conduct site safety orientations for new workers. Perform daily safety walks and document observations. Monitor high risk activities including crane operations and confined space. Verify permits are in place before work begins. Audit fall protection, scaffolding, and excavation compliance. Respond to incidents and assist with investigation activities. Maintain safety documentation and training records. Support emergency response drills and equipment inspections. Promote positive safety culture through engagement with workers. Must have construction safety experience and OSHA certifications. Schedule is 5 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Per diem provided.

• Minimum 2 years construction safety experience required. OSHA 30 certification required with additional safety training. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements. Experience conducting safety orientations and toolbox talks. Ability to perform safety audits and document observations. Knowledge of permit systems for hot work, confined space, and excavation. Strong communication skills for interaction with workers and supervision. Must pass drug screen and background check. First aid and CPR certification required. Reliable transportation required.
