Job Description
Ironworker needed for structural erection in Peoria. Erect structural steel for industrial construction projects. Connect steel members using bolted and welded connections. Work at elevation setting beams, columns, and bracing. Use tag lines to control loads during crane picks. Verify alignment and plumb before releasing connections. Install safety cables, handrails, and fall protection systems. Read structural drawings and erection sequences. Communicate effectively with crane operators using hand signals. Install metal decking and grating as required. Maintain bolt tension and torque documentation. Follow all safety requirements including 100 percent tie-off at elevation. Must be comfortable working at heights and have structural steel experience. Schedule is 6 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Per diem and travel provided.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years structural ironwork experience required. Experience with bolted and welded structural steel connections. Ability to work at elevation with 100 percent tie-off compliance. Knowledge of crane signals and rigging procedures. Experience reading structural drawings and erection sequences. Must be physically capable of demanding work at heights. Must pass drug screen and background check. OSHA 10 certification required. Ironworker certification or union membership preferred. Own hand tools and reliable transportation required.
