Signalperson

Signalperson for crane operations in Des Moines. Provide signal person services for crane operations on industrial site. Maintain visual contact with crane operator throughout lift operations. Use standard hand signals to direct crane movements precisely. Position yourself safely while maintaining clear line of sight. Coordinate with riggers on load attachment and positioning. Clear personnel from swing radius and load travel path. Monitor overhead clearances and warn of potential obstructions. Stop operations immediately for any unsafe conditions observed. Communicate via radio when hand signals are not practical. Document signal activities and participate in lift planning. Must be qualified signal person with industrial construction experience. Schedule is 5 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Per diem provided.

• Qualified signal person certification or equivalent experience required. Minimum 2 years experience as signal person on construction sites. Knowledge of standard crane hand signals and radio communication. Ability to maintain visual contact and clear line of sight. Experience coordinating with riggers and crane operators. Strong situational awareness and safety focus. Must pass drug screen and background check. OSHA 10 certification required. Ability to work at heights when required. Reliable transportation required.
