Millwright - General

Millwright needed for industrial maintenance and installation work at a petrochemical site in Baton Rouge. Work includes setting, aligning, and installing rotating equipment and mechanical components. Candidates must be able to take direction, work safely, and produce clean, verifiable installs. Responsibilities Remove, install, and align pumps, gearboxes, motors, fans, and conveyors. Perform precision measurements using dial indicators, laser alignment tools, micrometers, and feeler gauges. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, prints, and equipment manuals. Build bases, install couplings, set tolerances, and verify alignment. Assist with rigging, setting equipment, and coordinating lifts with the crane crew. Perform troubleshooting on vibration, bearing failures, seals, and drive issues. Maintain strict LOTO compliance, follow site safety rules, and document completed checks.

• Minimum 4 years industrial millwright experience required. Strong experience with alignment, bearing installation, and rotating equipment. Ability to read prints and follow installation procedures. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. OSHA 30 required. NCCER Millwright preferred. Must have standard hand tools and reliable transportation.
