Commercial Electrician Apprentice

Commercial Electrician Apprentice position available in Freeport. Learn the electrical trade while earning competitive wages on commercial and industrial projects. Assist journeymen with conduit installation, wire pulling, and device terminations. Gain experience with EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit systems. Learn proper bending techniques and support installation methods. Help with panel installations, circuit identification, and labeling. Develop skills in reading electrical drawings and specifications. Understand NEC code requirements and safe work practices. Practice proper lockout tagout and test before touch procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in the electrical trade with on the job training and mentorship. Schedule is 5 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Per diem provided for qualifying candidates.

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old with valid identification. Basic understanding of electrical concepts and safety. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders safely. Must be willing to work at heights with proper fall protection. Reliable transportation to job site required. OSHA 10 certification preferred but can be obtained after hire. Must own basic hand tools. Ability to work overtime when project requires. Strong work ethic and desire to learn the electrical trade.
